Following a successful run and record setting ratings, CITV have commissioned a second series of 52 episodes of animated comedy adventure series, The Rubbish World of Dave Spud.
‘Dave Spud’ is not your average children’s show and has pushed the boundaries targeting children aged 6 to 11. Focusing on the life of the no-nonsense, close knit Spud family each episode shows them trying to enjoy the ordinary things in life, however it is never long before their world starts to misbehave and they are sent on amazing escapades!
Created by the series director Edward Foster and developed by The Illuminated Film Company, the series has the top cast returning, with Johnny Vegas voicing the eponymous hero Dave Spud, Gina Yashere as his friend, Gareth the Starfish, Phillip Glenister and Arthur Smith as Dave’s mum Betty and dad George respectively, Lisa Hammond playing Anna, Dave’s sister, and Jane Horrocks as the outrageous Gran, plus Akiya Henry and Adam Gillen voicing Dave’s friends.
Fonic will also once again be providing the post production sound and we can’t wait to get started. The first series was a lot of fun to work on!
The second series will begin broadcasting in the Winter of 2020.
