Barbour Father Christmas Film

Barbour Father Christmas Film

Fonic produced the sound design and mix on the latest Barbour’s Christmas Film, inspired by the popular children’s book Father Christmas, originally written and drawn by author and illustrator, Raymond Briggs. Father Christmas To The Rescue is based on a true story. Father Christmas is sent on a very special adventure to the Barbour Factory in South Shields, to celebrate the love and the magic of the season.

Last year the leading heritage and lifestyle brand focused its 2019 Christmas campaign on the Father Christmas stories too, capturing the spirit of Christmas through a witty and charming tale, ‘Thanks Mrs C’, which Fonic also produced the sound design and mixed.

Award winning 2D animation studio, Illuminated Films, produced the animation for the films using computer assisted animation, compositing and special effects software TV Paint.  Both films were directed by Dave Unwin, director of the original 1991 animated special.
