The BAFTA Television Craft Awards 2023

The BAFTA Television Craft Awards took place on Sunday 23 April. Cinematographer, Director & Creative, Chas Appeti won the award for Photography & Lighting in Fiction for Amazon Prime series: Jungle, a series centring on the British rap and drill scenes. Made up of six episodes, and set in a semi-futuristic inner city London and tells the overlapping stories of several strangers overcoming various struggles. The visionary and groundbreaking use of the music, encouraged by the storytelling qualities of the genres lyrics, allows dialogue to morphs into rap with characters spitting bars over drill beats.

The U.K.’s top rap and drill artists feature in the series, including Tinie Tempah, Big Narstie, Unknown T, Jordan McCann, Jaykae, IAMDDB, Double Lz, M24 and more.

Fonic provided ADR, voice over records and foley record and edit across the series.
