Thomas & Friends™ Storytime
In 2020, in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Thomas the Tank Engine stories, Mattel commissioned a diverse range of storytelling opportunities. This included new specials, episodes and books, exclusive YouTube content and a music album. Also commissioned was a Storytime podcast series of 46 episodes in the form of audio stories, which were written and produced by Scruffy Dog Media in collaboration with Fonic providing full audio production.
Following positive feedback a further two series were commissioned in 2021 and 2022, and now there are over 80 unique podcast episodes based around the Thomas & Friends™ TV series.
Thomas & Friends™ Storytime podcast invites listeners to join Thomas and his friends on audio adventures around the magical island of Sodor. Stories range from origin tales of favourite characters, Thomas versions of fairy tales and adaptations of TV episodes and books. Each episode ranges from five to ten minutes.
The Podcasts are available on all the major podcast platforms.
