Hey Duggee
Described as one of the great triumphs of 21st century children’s television.
In collaboration with Trunk and illustrator and designer Anna Kovecses, Fonic worked on a new advertisement campaign for Rightmove that displayed simplicity and fun in the process of searching for a new home.
London-based agency Homebrew were commissioned to create a multi-platform campaign to promote Rightmove’s on site School Checker tool and the site to potential tenants looking to rent a property. This was to include a 30 sec TV spot, a 10 sec cut down and a dedicated 30 sec spot for mobile.
The agency wanted a warm and charming style, full of colour and fun. Illustrator and designer Anna Kovecses’ creations were the perfect match. As Anna had never worked with animators before Trunk Studios were brought onto the project to bring the illustrations to life. This was how Fonic joined the project, as long-time collaborators with Trunk.
Fonic provided a full post audio service. We tried to stay as playful as the visuals with the audio, keeping the focus on the dialogue with some punctuated moments to highlight the visuals.

The Rightmove spots were very short and the agency needed us to squeeze a lot of story into only a few seconds. Working with Fonic was excellent as they are always very collaborative and bring some excellent ideas to projects. Fonic supplied us with sound design sketches while we were in production and responded well to any notes we sent back, skilfully deciphering my notes to make something "more skronky". At the mix it all came together beautifully, and Fonic were flexible enough to let us do a bit of experimentation with alternative sounds. Their huge sound library let us find that perfect champagne cork pop.
