Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions

Client | Pottermore Publishing and Audible

Fonic had the privilege of contributing to Pottermore Publishing and Audible’s to Harry Potter: The Full-Cast Audio Editions.

On behalf of Pottermore and Audible, Fonic was responsible for Foley across the series, working with award-winning Foley artists and drawing on its expanded facilities and deep expertise in sound storytelling. The team crafted footsteps, movement, and prop sounds for more than 500 characters across locations ranging from Hogwarts’ corridors and classrooms to the Forbidden Forest. Iconic objects such as wands, books, and the Invisibility Cloak were carefully designed to capture their unique textures and magical qualities.

Props were sourced from Fonic’s studio, supplemented with antique furniture and a full suit of armour previously used in Dungeons & Dragons. The team also recorded Foley on location, capturing footsteps, trolleys, trunks, and luggage aboard a working steam train to authentically represent the Hogwarts Express in audio.

Foley is at the heart of everything we do at Fonic and embodies our studio ethos. We are passionate about the craft, creativity, and storytelling, and Foley allows us to create a nuanced, layered soundtrack that brings stories to life. It was an honour to collaborate with Pottermore Publishing and Audible to contribute to these productions.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban are available now on Audible, with the remaining titles rolling out between February and May 2026.
