One of a Kind

Client | Rok Predin and Trunk Animation

Fonic’s long time collaborator, director, Rok Predin, worked with Fonic back in 2014 on his film ‘One of a Kind’.

Starting with a boy running into a cemetery and what at first looks like a family gathering, the film’s narrator, performed by Jim Carter, begins and we learn that the narrative isn’t necessarily set from the perspective of the child.

Working through time as we move along the table, the cast reverts from modern 21st Century man, to a WWII Soldier, Tudors, Vikings, Romans and Caveman and back to the origins of life. In doing so, exploring playfully the various aspects of history and the human species including war, love & sex.

The film was scripted and developed at BAFTA award winning animation studio, Trunk, with Ivor Novello winning composer Daniel Pemberton composing the music and Fonic provided full audio post production.

The film has gone on to screen at festivals worldwide.
